To access the
Aquatic Ecotoxicity search, click on the blue Aquatic Ecotoxicity
button from the home page.
Finding
Ecotoxicity Data by Species The
Aquatic Ecotoxicity Search Page allows
a search for aquatic toxicity data by species. Clicking on this
blue bar from the home page provides a list of organism groups.
Each group is presented with a description of the types of species
it contains. Clicking on any of these organism groups will display
a list of species. Once within the list of species, you can click
on any species to show a list of all studies done on that species
for all chemicals for which data are available. Please note that
this search only displays pesticide-related studies. The source
data for this section is the U.S. EPA AQUIRE database which currently
contains close to 215,000 study results.
You can print this list
or export it to another
data processing program such as Microsoft Excel or Access.
Only 100 results are displayed on a page. Often a search will give
more than 100 results. To view the next set, click on the Next
button at either the top or the bottom of the page.
Finding
Ecotoxicity Data by Chemical
In addition to searching
for ecotoxicity studies by species, it is possible to view ecotoxicity
studies for a specific chemical. To do this, first find the chemical
you are interested in using the chemical
search page. Search for the chemical you are interested in and
go to the chemical detail page by clicking on 'More Info'. One of
the sections on this page presents summary ecotoxicity data. Click
on the links in this section to view detailed ecotoxicity data for
that chemical.
